The humans are dead

Since this blog has a long-standing tradition of mocking my beloved Frau's fear of robots, I hereby link to the following article from the Onion AV Club:

ABOVE: Ultron, #6 on the AV Club's list, is arguably the
single most dangerous villain in the Marvel Universe, and
probably the evil robot most in need of therapy and/or a hug.

The AV club put together a pretty impressive list, but they forgot the greatest killer robots of all: those that poison our asses with poisonous gasses.

Something is awesome in the state of Denmark

After all these years of pining over Cooperstown and Cleveland, I have a new dream job: the archives of the Lego factory in Billund, Denmark.

ABOVE: Much to my surprise,
the Lego factory doesn't really look like this.

Much, much more on the factory is availaible here, including their 19,000,000,000-piece storage facilities.

He represent(ed) the Lollipop Guild (Friday WTF)

We interrupt this Friday WTF to bring you tragic, tragic news. STL's own Mikey Carroll, one of the last surviving actors from The Wizard of Oz, died yesterday at the age of 89. He was one of the Munchkins (specifically, the guy who shows the Wicked Witch's death certificate to Dorothy, if I remember right).

Normally I would show a clip of him here, but since Youtube has a surprisingly small selection of Wizard of Oz clips that don't involve mythical Munchkin suicides, I'll just show this instead.

While I'm at it, I should probably do a quick salute to two other great actors who have passed away in the last few days.

(NOTE: Mildly bad language ahead.)

1. Bea Arthur. Outstanding.

2. Dom "Not in the face!" DeLuise.

There is trouble in the forest... (Friday WTF)

This week's Friday WTF is a rockin' tribute to that great American holiday, Arbor Day.

Enjoy:

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Please do Skippy a favor and disregard the fact that Arbor day was last Friday.)
