Pimp my bookcart
Since I haven't done a really nerdy library-related post in a while...
We at the Daily Marmoset* are big fans of Unshelved, the web comic by librarians, for librarians. Besides a consistently funny web comic that entertains librarians and normal people alike (honest!) and their outstanding book reviews, they also just announced the winners of the third annual
This year's winner was entered by the student employees of Columbia University Library, who designed it to look like a New York hot dog cart.
This probably says more about me than about the bookcarts themselves, but I'm kind of partial to the Optimus Prime model, especially since it really does transform.
If you're curious, the series of comic strips that inspired this contest begins here, and continues thru Sept. 30.
*and by "We", I mean of course "me".

ABOVE: The author statement says that "The books
inside are about leadership, replacing his matrix of leadership."
I love that from the bottom of my sad, geeky heart.
