How else will he learn not to fall off his bike?

The Daily Marmoset generally takes a neutral position on most political issues. However, this seems too important to pass up:

When both Don Draper and Ron Burgundy support something, you know it's important.

Birth of the Genius (fake holiday)

I haven't done a post for one of my patented Fake Holidays in a while, but this one truly should be a national holiday. Today would have been the 79th birthday of Ray Charles. He more or less invented soul music, and at the same time was one a master of jazz, blues, and classical. He even played both kinds of music: country AND western. Love and Monsters (Friday WTF)

A new book came out this week; a timeless tale of love conquering all. And by "all", I mean ALL:

Farewell to Wilbur

Sad news:

Actor and comedian Henry Gibson, best known to the Marmoset and I as the voice of Wilbur from Charlotte's Web, has died at the age of 73.

We bid Mr. Gibson a fond Daily Marmoset farewell with this clip from the criminally underrated 1970s film "Kentucky Fried Movie":

Is this thing on? (Friday WTF)

This Friday WTF video goes out to newly retired Assemblyman Michael Duvall of the California State Assembly.

For his achievements, and his amazing inability to keep those achievements to himself, we at the Daily Marmoset proudly present Mr. Duvall with the first-ever Drebin Award for Awesomely Accidental Use of a Microphone.

The award, of course, is named after the legendary Detective Frank Drebin of the LAPD.
